Notes
The first three tasks to hand over
Do not start with the hardest job in the business. Start with three that already have a finished example, and a person who can tell a bad draft from a good one.
Pick work you already do every week
A reply. A summary. A first draft of something you have written twenty times. If you cannot show two finished examples, it is too early to hand it over.
Leave the judgement where it is
The model can assemble. It should not decide a price, a diagnosis, a legal position, or a client relationship. Write that down so the team does not drift into it.
Write the job once
A name, when to use it, the steps, and what good looks like. That is a skill. The next person should not have to remember the prompt you used on a Thursday.
