What to check before you send
The draft is the easy part. The send is where a business gets hurt. These are the five checks we teach before anyone hits send.
1. Is every fact in the source?
If a name, a date, a price or a promise is not in the notes you pasted, it does not go out. The model will fill a gap with something that sounds right.
2. Did you paste something you should not have?
A client file, a patient's name, a contract, a password. Take it out of the chat. Do not 'just this once'.
3. Does it sound like you?
Read it aloud. If you would not say it to the person it is going to, rewrite that line. A polite model is not your voice.
4. What did it leave out?
The missing caveat is more dangerous than a clumsy sentence. If the source had a condition, the draft needs the condition.
5. Who is responsible?
A person's name goes on the send. The model does not. If you cannot put your name on it, it is not ready.
